Because of the web hosting problems, I have been unable to delete e-mailz containing Custom Levelz, Walkthroughz, and/or Statz page screenshotz for quite a while. (I am forced to use my e-mail inbox as a back-up to my hard drive ... instead of the web host.) I only have 5MB available (total ... inbox, outbox, trash (emptied daily), etc.) and after emptying trash I am at 92% full tonight.
So, until further notice, please do not send me any imagez or walkthroughz. Also, please send only ASCII (plain text) e-mailz ... no HTML at all ... a 2KB ASCII e-mail is around 56KB (minimum!) with HTML.
Thank you for your cooperation!
P.S. Simple messagez to me would be even better as a PM in this Forum ... there is no limit on storage here! (Although I do periodically purge old PMz where the entire thread has been resolved.)

I have been unable to access my e-mail inbox for a few dayz now, instead having a message page displayed saying "this page is temporarily unavailable ... thank you for your patience". So (with the amount of SPAM e-mailz I get) the chancez are excellent that my 5MB allotment has been exceeded. Please do not try to send me anything important (to you, to me ... or to Gruntz!) until the problem has been resolved. Try to inform me of Gruntzy thingz via PMz here, instead.

You could always get a Gmail address (like I did) and use that for spam. I have had it for a few months and have not yet used 2%!

Well, there'z big chance that they will erase every of your message in your Inbox... I hope that every filez that were "hosted" in it are owned by at least one of the Gruntzerz. The best thing to do whit storage is to organise it by folderz. Every message that you just received will be in your 'Inbox' folder... So you could store your messagez about "Gruntzy", and your messagez about other important thingz (SquareDancing, etc.) in different folder, then you will retreive yourself better in your inbox to view older messagez and maybe delete the oldest. You'll just have to delete your SPAM from your Inbox, then delete it from your "Deleted messages" folder. That is, if your message box offer the "folder storing" service... That was just my advice about it (but it's highly possible you already know all that anyways ).

I have several folderz in my e-mail account ... but it doesn't matter where the messagez are stored ... there is a 5MB limit on everything I have. I am slowly updating my ZIP disk used to create distribution CD-ROMz to include all of the walkthroughz (in relative addressing format ... nothing specific to a certain web host) and will use that as my back-up ... when I have it fully reliable. Then I can delete the e-mailz with CL attachmentz (and walkthrough attachmentz, etc.) from my e-mail account, and no longer have a storage problem there.

I also have a GMail account (have had for a couple of yearz), and they do a much better job of filtering out SPAM. But I have had this (my primary) e-mail account since before I ever knew about Gruntz, and am reluctant to change to the 1GB account for everything. I am hoping that after May 13th (Mother's Day, in the United States) I will be able to complete the purging of my primary e-mail account, and establish a working 24/7 web host to support this Forum. I only have little snatchez of time available for Gruntzy thingz until the last performance of "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" ... barely sufficient to distribute Gruntz Custom Levelz as they come in, and I can verify them for release.

Now that I have GoDaddy as a web host, one thing remainz to be done to resolve my e-mail storage problem: create an up-to-date Gruntz Extraz CD-ROM as the third back-up to my hard drive, and the web host. They I can delete the hundredz of e-mailz with Gruntz Custom Level attachmentz, and Walkthroughz, Statz Page imagez, emoticonz, etc., etc. form my e-mail inbox. That should bring me down from 95% full (today's usage) to less than 40%. I should have said CD-ROM created (and duplicated, since I will be sending out one tomorrow) less than 18 hourz from now.

I created a back-up Gruntz Extraz CD-ROM (283MB!) this morning, and with that, and a working web host, now have two back-upz to my hard drive ... so I deleted all of those e-mailz containing attachmentz of CLz, walkthroughz, Statz Page imagez, etc. that were at least 3 weekz old, and now am down to only 46% full in my e-mail inbox! Almost 2.5MB removed that I kept around strictly as back-up to my hard drive. Whew! I'm glad that's over.
