Recently, me and Tomalla have been discussing about his newest level - Hall of Fame. In less than a minute after the start of the level, the game crashes without leaving any message. The Gruntz.exe simply closez. I think that this is some sort of wrong logic, which is activated by an AI or a Rolling Ball - that explainz why the time before the crash variez. However, I haven't been able to identify the problem. Has anyone got time to help us?

I can think about 3 factorz... if there is a GR look if there isn't a tile '0' in it... automatic bridge tilez insted of regular onez... a brick without a 'B' on it

A GruntStartingPoint on a Death Tile; no solver's Grunt; a Switch outside the boundary of the map. Without the WWD, it would be very difficult to determine the problem. I am leaving for the theatre, to run the lightz for the stage play, and will return in about 4-1/2 hourz. Then I have 'free' time until about 10:30AM on Wednesday! So I could look at it and try to find the problem ... if someone sendz the WWD to me.

I'm sending it to your Gmail account (which you use to send the CLz). By the way, it is not the original version - I removed three objectz with a name and image, but no logic, because I thought they were the problem. It makez no difference anywayz...

If you can't figure what's wrong, make a backup copy, and on that backup start deleting sections of logics. Once you find the right section, you can focus attention on that.

Do you have any CheckPointTrigger/GAME_CHECKPOINTFLAG in your level? For some reason (I've done this before! ) the game clozez without any error message. Maybe thatz it.

That is one of those "no diagnostic help" problemz that were not mentioned. It happenz when SwitchIDz are not properly placed in the Rects: fieldz of the GAME_CHECKPOINTFLAG.

Yep, but it closez the game immediatelly once the level is loaded (or when the Flag is shown). In this case, IIRC, it crashez in different positionz and in different timez.
Maybe Tomalla could try Gamer's suggestion. It's the best way.

That won't work Just when error appeared, I've started to delete these logicz. Nope - 0 logicz and error's still showing ... so something's wrong with tilez so I've downloaded new template and I'm going to insert all tilez and logicz once again ... but that is really boring and tight! But - I guess there's no another way to fix that problem

How could there be an error with Tilez?! Aww, I wished I could have Gruntz here as well... I'm in my grandparents' house and there are no games in the PC, only Internet. One more thing: do you remember starting the level in a bigger size, then deciding to reduce the number of tilez? There could be a forgotten logic outside of the level's limit. If it's not that, there could be a tile with a wrong user number or something... but I think that would crash the CL while loading or immediately when open... Or possibly, yet very hardly, you used an invalid tile number on a tile. I doubt it though

Huh, I do NOT remember I DID manipulating on tilez and their user values etc. No logicz stayed outside the map, 'cause I used command "Delete All Objects", and in Edit Inspector was written "0 logicz" ( of course nothing was written there, just written what did it mean ). I've filled up whole map with "1" tile. Error still appears =/. I did NOT changed map size during designing ... only to bigger ( something 'bout 2 tilez width ). Very interesting thing is, on the same beginning of designing this map there was NO errors ... so I don't know, how is it possible

If you're not forgetting anything, it's basically like a template level with errorz. Huh, what could be possibly wrong here? Do you have a backup copy? If yes, then the only way would be to re-design the level, looking at the backup and contructing first the tilez, then the objectz. However, remember to test your level at every puzzle/section of tilez you put in, and once the error occurs, you'll be able to spot the thing causing it. Replace it, and if the same thing happens again (that error acts like a virus), then you would have to start all over... but, this time, knowing how to prevent against the 'CL virus'

I would create at least one GruntStartingPoint, a warpstone and a fort. Try to complete the level before the error happens.

Is the last version you have working (without errors) too far back that redoing it is a good option?

Just a heads-up for anyone who might be having the same problem: recently I've been able to solve the problem of crashes in Tomalla's level by going into World > Planes > Back and changing that plane to consist of 32 by 32 tiles instead of 8 by 8. Quite possibly the game simply didn't like the idea of the Back plane having less tiles than the default resolution (min. 20 tiles wide and 15 tiles tall).

It may be two computer failures (the last one fatal), but I do not have "Hall Of Fame" at all. If it can be posted, I would try to determine the cause of the failure. (Nearly done with cleaning up various index problems.)
