Hi there! This Topic is about what new thingz could be added if there should be a "Gruntz 2"... Ok, we all know that is quite impossible to happen , but this topic is just about your opinion about it. So, if you have an (or some) idea(z) about new wolrdz themez, hazardz, toolz, toyz, brick types, spellz, etc. You can write it there for everyonez to see and imaginez.

I was actualy just thinking about how hard it wopuld be for me to make a fan-game based off of Gruntz. I think I'll start one tomarrow.

For brickz I have some ideaz. The first is a light green colored poison brick. These brickz reduce the health of the grunt breaking it by 1/4, it will also reduce the health of gruntz nearby. There is a dark green poison brick that reducez health level by 1/2.

For a new world I would have an :oelectric area. There would be capacitorz, resistorz, chipz, and other curcuit related thingz in the level. The biggest and most important thing in "Gruntz 2" would be an increase in grunt limit ...all the way to 50 gruntz:).

For new powerupz there could be one called "slime". This powerup will make your grunt take only 1/4 damage from toolz and your grunt will slowly regenerate . With this powerup you can also walk across spikez without taking damage . The most useful and special thing about this powerup is that gruntz can't be squashed by rolling ballz !

You mean like a powerup that soften the goo of the grunt for some secs? I like this idea! It's like an evolution of the Invulnerability Powerup. But the slimy grunt won't do as much dammage as a fully cooked and hardened one... In theory, i mean.

It'z more of a regenerative goo. Grunt attack will not change (they do use their toolz ).

Oh, I have my own idea on that subject. There could be heaterz powerupz that make them soft enough to take less dammage and be able to fit through the space between rockz and such. One side affect is that they won't be able to use their toolz until they harden again.

Gruntz can't move between 2 tile spacez. I have an idea for an air power up which would make the grunt air like, he would move past rock, pyramidz, and even hill barrierz! The side affect to this is that you lose a 1/4 bar of health (to keep you from going over to many .)

For the idea of the "Slimy" powerup, i tough of a powerup named "ShapeShifter". Whit this powerup, the grunt would turn into a (alive) goo puddle, and could go around the map whitout being squished by rockz, whitout beeing hurt by spikez, and converting goo puddlez to his color and turning them into gruntz. The ShapeShifted grunt could get pass pyramidz and get into his original shape, but after that he can't get to a goo puddle again...
There would be drains to keep him from going everywhere. The big drawback is that he couldn't attack other gruntz (well, the other gruntz couldn't attack him, too), that he couldn't press switchez for the while and that he couldn't pick up the toolz, toyz, coinz or zap cola... The grunt let his tool behind while he transformz in a puddle.

The shapeshifter grunt wouldn't need to press switchez anyway - going over the pyramidz and under rollong rockz take away the need. (Of course, there's always the matter of a bridge.) Also, with the shapeshifter, the crumbling bridges don't crumble at all, and 'floats' on death tilez.

I think that this powerup has a little to many "abilitez", you would have to be very careful in putting this powerup in questz and battlez. Problem is, this powerup is too powerful (there is a very fine line between good enough and too good, and this one is right on it). For questz, if the time is too long, the player could have the grunt start going past barrierz to make a puzzle too easy...or grab a coin to spoil a secret . For the battlez, the grunt would just go all the way into the fortress (nothing stopping him, unless it'z not long enough) and no grunt can do anything about it !

A very interesting idea for a powerup would be an area effect powerup. This super powerup would allow a grunt with any tool (including barehandz) to make area effect damage. Normally when you attack a grunt, you only damage that grunt. Now, a grunt with the area effect powerup would damage that grunt and any grunt that is ajacent to the victim (except gruntz on the same team and the attacker himself). Think of the damage a sword grunt could do! Also for ranged gruntz the powerup (letz say you shot at a group of gruntz with a gunhat) makez multiple projectilez (9, one on the aimed [or attacked] tile and 8 in all directionz next to it). :oBOOM!! All the gruntz (9 of them arranged in a square) would lose 1/2 health. A welder would burn all of them !

Yesterday, I was actually thinking of how a Ennemy grunt could pick-up a tool, toy or a power-up (normally they can't)... Maybe by putting thier team # in the "smarts" field... Imagine a ennemy grunt converting your own... or beeing able to attack multiple time without recovering... OooooOOooooOOoooOoOoooooooOOOOOOooOooOoOOOOO... spooky! (can we generate a wave tag? Kidding) I was thinking of a new tool... (But maybe this idea is just good for powerup...) A badminton racket to send back the missilez thrown to you... and that tool would have the ability of a shortrange tool.

I like the badminton racket How about this powerup: Icing touch - making enemy gruntz freeze when they attack you. Just that you can't shatter those iced grutz, like with the spell.

Now that's a... Brrrrr #snowing# .. cool idea! But I think this should block the attack using ability of the Power-upped grunt... because there could not be 2 types of ice (ice is ice)...

I have a tool idea of my own. Gruntz can pick up these large canisterz of zap cola, they don't drink it however. They can go around giving health to gruntz, so it'z kind of like "zap cola to go" . The attack of this grunt would be 1/4 of a health bar. Also there is a 5 time limit to how many timez you can give health. The amount of health giveen per time is equivelent to a keg. There could even be a new AI ( beige?) that givez health to enemy gruntz on the same team within range (killing that barehand just got tougher! ).
