I have a friend who is really good at programming, and so he has agreed to look at the game, and crack (well, analyse ) the game, and find out how .pid workz. He is making progress, and has told me that it seemz to be a simpler version of .jpg, so a converter wouldn't be hard to write. With this converter, we can finally replace duplicate tilez, and have Gruntz 1.12 (or even Gruntz 2) avaliable.

And how's progress? Did your friend find out how do PID files work? Huh, but replaced tiles won't make it "Gruntz 2" lol. It'll be still the same version you got ... but with replaced tiles Different versions of the game, doesn't matter which one actually, have different engines ( in other words: authors have modified main *.exe file ). New components, such as new tiles, pictures etc., doesn't make version number increase However, I'm trying to build new engine on my own. Then it could be Gruntz 2 If you will succeed with this PID converter, maybe I could use game's PID files, instead of creating new ones. That could be great! Tomalla

Well, the patch for v1.01 does nothing to the engine, only fix a few bugz in the mapz Anyway, good luck with the engine

Well, the patch for v1.01 does nothing to the engine, only fix a few bugz in the mapz Yeah, but what I meant is, that new graphic set will NOT change map version to 2.0 That's a little difference, don't you think? He tried, but found it difficult, so gave up. Well, I hope I won't close my project as fast as he did Anyway, thanks for notification.
