The collaboration project is finally complete! This is one of the largest CLz in Gruntz, which will thorougly test your knowledge of game mechanics. We put a lot of effort to make it more about solving puzzles than testing one's manual dexterity, so that it is accessible to all players. The puzzles themselves aren't too difficult, although there are some trickier sections appearing in the ending parts.
Here's the list of collab participants ("cake layers") with their chosen tool and the amount of coins: 1. Athrun - Gauntletz, 4 Coins 2. benadnam - Spongegun, 5 Coins 3. Tomalla - Bootz, 4 Coins 4. BattlezM - Toob, 5 Coins 5. Theo - Bricklayer, 4 Coins 6. SwordGrunt - Shovel, 5 Coins 7. Swietymiki - Springz, 4 Coins 8. MMM - Bomb, 5 Coins In each part you'll find a single Secret Teleporter and a single hidden Orange Switch. Pressing all of these switches unlocks the final secret in the Fort area (which contains 6 Coins).
Due to the fact that there is no direct interference between different designers' parts and the equipment of Gruntz is known before and after entering each area, it was possible for all sections to be designed simultaneously (in separate WWD files) and then merged using a program made by Tomalla.

A folder has been created for Designer "MegaCollab", and under it a folder 8-LayerFrostedCake (no spaces). A Statz Page image and its StatzThumb are stored in it along with a copy of the Announcement. The entire folder will be uploaded to the web host next, and some images should appear, if the excellent creator of the Announcement guessed correctly about the naming convention. If not, I will edit the Announcement so the links work. Okay, so I made some changes.
Tomorrow I will further modify the Announcement so that the various participants' handles link to their individual indices.

I see that I am going to have to create two new Designer folders, one for Athrun and one for MMM. I need to decide if the index would be empty, or contain this puzzle entry. Somewhat obvious is that both collaborators will be upgraded to Designer status. I am leaning toward adding "(+) 1 collaboration" to all 8 indices, with the same entry for all.
Edit: Athrun and MMM ... please help me out by providing the Author.html member for yourself.

Me having a designer status feels weird. However great to see this collab released! I'm going to have to play through the most recent one and see how it flows.

All of the links in the Announcement should work properly now. I still have the 6 indices for the Designers who also created Questz and/or Battlez to update, to show "+ 1 collaboration".

I have reached the first CP with gauntletz, barehanded and 3rd gets a spongegun. I am stepping on the pyramid timer switch but the grey pyramids are not going down.

They are definitely going down, just not where you are expecting them to.
Are you playing on the lowest resolution? The nature of this part is such that a larger display makes it easier to notice certain things.

The nature of this part is such that a larger display makes it easier to notice certain things. So I found the single SP which is lowered but the hard part was to send the gauntletz through the double arrows! It gets a bit confusing later. I am supposed to get the red timebomber through the SP but he blows himself up before I reach him. Even if he gets across and reveals the SP switch, there is no gruntz to collect the coin and use the BW I hope what I am saying makes sense

Before blowing up, the bomber presses the Silver Switch next to the cupcake, which activates the first sequence of Silver Pyramids. You can make use of that, assuming you opened the Green Pyramid at the top.

I have just finished the part with Brick-layer as the 3rd gruntz and am enjoying every moment of this level. The red wormhole locations and other puzzles are very well thought out. Till now I have not needed much help and have been able to figure out things (fingers crossed)
Just wanted to appreciate the effort of the designers.

I am at the last part. There are 2 enemy swords guarding entrance to the King. It is easy to kill 1 guard but without any cola around, it is difficult to kill the other one. How to get past?

Shovelz and Springz regenerate their stamina faster than Swordz, so you can beat either of them taking only 1 hit. Just try to attack with both of your Gruntz at once. Though it's only really necessary to get rid of the enemy on the right and make sure the Warpstone has more than half health before entering the fortress. Did you ever acquire any Toyz ... and not give them away ... yet? If that was what you had to do, it would be rather unfair. It's not intended to keep a Toy or anything else in the Gruntz Machine from the previous parts and, most likely, not even possible to do so.

No I do not have any toys as I used all 3 of them in the previous section.
I also got rid of only one enemy on the right. The warpstone is picked by shovelz (as both bomber and springs die). Shovelz does not enough health as he has to stand on spikes while filing a hole (near the green pyramid). Only one cola is available which is not enough.

There's just enough zap cola to do everything you need. If you only get rid of the Grunt on the right, your Shovel mustn't get hit by the Sword at all, so it might be easier to kill both enemies, leaving both of your Gruntz at half health. Even then your Shovel will survive filling a hole on spikes.

There is only 1 zap cola available. Are there more???
While getting rid of the gruntz on right, both Spring and Shovel get hit once each. How is it possible to kill the Sword by Spring taking just one hit and Shovel not getting hit at all?

No, there is no more zap cola. Leaving the left Grunt alive is a tricky business because you have to stick to the cupcake to avoid getting attacked by him. It's 100% possible to do it this way but there is a random factor to it (Springz getting the long animation).
If you don't want to make life harder for yourself, follow what I said earlier: Shovelz and Springz regenerate their stamina faster than Swordz. Attack the enemy with both of your Gruntz at once (first get rid of the left, then the right).
The AI prioritizes targets in cardinal directions - whoever you put on the diagonal will not get hit. Swap your Gruntz positions after killing the first enemy and you'll survive the fight.

Sadly I finished it missing a coin. I might go back for it a few months from now to try to get a perfect score, but otherwise a solid level.

Hello, I'm stuck near the end of part 7 of this level. I have to lower red pyramids to let my gruntz go away of the three purple switchez. There are three red switchez, but : - one is inaccessible (behind two rocks that become Iron Pyramidz)
- one is near a gauntletz gruntz that i think i have to kill to let springz go away
- one is near an enemy club I don't know how i could stop it on the red switch
Could someone give me a little help ? Thanks
