In one of my frequent 'asides' in my current project, I discovered that MY profile no longer displayed the ! Instead of that animation there was a still picture . I went to the Proboards Support Forum and was rewarded with a reminder that I had a plug-in to display flags. The problem is that the supplier of the plug-in let his web host go, and the image was someone's idea of what to display for a broken link. The helper gave me the solution, which was to change the root URL to our own web host, and my part of the solution was to change the plug-in supplier's specific completion from a two letter code and file extension of PNG to the names I assigned to the GIFs.
I have replaced my original country entries, but perhaps YOUR country is not in that list. I can add at least a still image of most national flags, if not an animated version, so please let me know if yours is missing, as I found no display for Abdalla showing .
In order for your flag to appear, your LOCATION entry must be something like this (mine) [flag:us], replacing the 2 character code (us for the United States of America) with your 2 character code for your country, as "pl" for Poland.

There are a few hundred members who have been gone from this Forum for a long time (such as Abdalla), who will be unlikely to ever correct their profile to (re-?)establish their nation's flag in their profile. As a test, I corrected Abdalla's profile and it now shows the flag. When (if?) there comes a time when I have an empty slot of time in my schedule, I may go through the membership and make corrections for those unlikely to return to make such corrections themselves.

I replaced the USA flag's URL with various different flags and there seems to be many (most will not likely ever be used).
Also I can't help but notice that the all green flag of Libya has been outdated since 2011 but I don't know if it's possible to obtain the same GIF with the newer one.

The world is ever changing (politically, at least) and I haven't been keeping up with the results of revolutions/elections/etc. that change 'little' things like national flags. But I can see about getting back to the source of flags and see about replacing Libya, at least.
