I tried four times today to play through an 'easy' Quest, but each time the game locked up, requiring Task Manager to kick it out of the system. (I did make progress on the puzzle, but became frustrated with having to SAVE often, and even then having to re-play from a SAVE because of a lock-up just before I was going to SAVE again.)
So I will have to reclaim space to be able to use my XP laptop to play ... and it is buried under material for three other non-Gruntz projects I have on my to-do list.
I will depend on others to verify submissions (BETA test) to tell me when one is ready for distribution. I can use THIS laptop to do Forum maintenance ... just will no longer even TRY to actually play the game on it. DgVooDoo (for me) just seems to be intent on casting spells over my attempts to play Gruntz.

I have pretty much given up on playing Gruntz on this Windoze 10 laptop. I have completed enough projects so that I have managed to clean off my Windows XP laptop once more, and will be "Sneaker Netting" in the future for as long as the two computers and I are still working. All maintenance will continue to be done on this computer, but all design/testing will take place on the XP machine.
For one thing, I have TWO CD/DVD drives available on the XP, but this computer is not compatible with the old LightScribe enabled external drives I have (I have two of them, only one attached to the XP). Some time in the (near?) future I will create an up-to-date Gruntz Extraz DVD that I can use to support the XP tasks. With low RAM: capacity, I actually run Gruntz from a flash drive, and have a subset of the custom folder (and the Designer/Quest folders)in use for active projects ... because 640+ Quests overwhelm the memory of the XP.
Edit: I discovered two USB ports at the rear of the XP, and moved my WiFi mouse sender to one of the rear ports, and added the second external CD/DVD and now have three drives to work with. Then I went on-line and found that there are now USB 2 flash drives in the same size as the mouse sender in 16Gb capacities. So I ordered a couple of them and will put everything Gruntz on one of them. So I will have ALL of GooRoo'sGruntz.info available on the XP ... with the additional advantage of being able to UPDATE components of a Quest and 'Sneaker Net' them quickly to THIS computer.
