Gaby, there are two ways to look at this. If you can't get the warp letter than you can't but it won't stop you finishing the game. You do need to allocate numbers to your gruntz so you can pick them quickly to fire the gunz. I completed this level before the patch came out and have to confess that therefore I have never done this puzzle in this format. Have you tried firing the first gunz before you move the gauntletz gruntz onto the arrow? Just a thought.

Even after I managed to do it the first time (when I was playing the Standard Levelz for the first time), and re-playing them (to refresh my memory, when answering questions), it usually takes me at least half a dozen attempts before I am able to get the timing right. (Guess I am getting too old for such feverish activity, as is required in this sub-puzzle. ) Take heart that it is possible for a 62 year old to do it, even if it takes a few tries. If your goal is to get "PERFECT!" scores, then keep at it. Otherwise, failing to get the "R" does not prevent you from compleitng the Level.

Even on some of my timing puzzles, it takes me a while to get the timing right. In Decoy Ahoy! I had to replay the first timing puzzle 3 times to get it in my alpha test! So keep at it, and practice makes perfect

I agree with Gaby on this level. I'm just too slow to get the warp letter! I read all the tips and tried them all, but none of them worked for me. I just can't handle all 3 gruntz in such a short time. I just decided to finish this level without getting the warp letter, and deal with not getting a "perfect" this time. I did finish the level, just gave up on ever getting the warp letter ...

I did finish the level, just gave up on ever getting the warp letter ... I hope you retained a SAVE at the point of trying for the "R"! I am no 'kid', myself, but using the number selection shortcut method, I have been able to consistently shoot that Grunt to the "R" ... like 7 out of 10 tries. The mouse only has to move the distance of two Tilez in one and a half secondz, while (in my case) the left hand hits the "2" and "t" keyz for the middle part of the exercise. The biggest problem I had was that my first attempts had the screen shift (violently) when I selected the #2 SpongeGunz Grunt. So I used the keys, hitting 1 (twice), that centered the screen on Grunt #1, then hit the 2 key twice, to center the screen on the #2 Grunt. Then I saved, and tried the "T, 2T, click Gauntletz and right click on Arrow", and was immediately successful! The screen no longer shifted when I selected Grunt #2. (That's why I am now successful at about the 70% rate.)

I did save a version of this level at the spot to get the warp letter, but I really don't know that I'll try it again anytime soon. It was just so frustrating for me when I was trying it, because I'm simply too slow to handle all 3 gruntz in such a short time. I can handle 2 of them, but not all 3! I can never get that last grunt to shoot his gun quick enough -- I honestly just don't think I'm fast enough to ever get that warp letter. I may go back and try it again later, but I don't have to much confidence that I'll ever be able to do it -- I really think I'm just too slow ...

What you just said (I believe) identifies your problem! The last Grunt is not a SpongeGun Grunt firing his weapon, but the Gauntletz Grunt stepping onto the first Arrow!
Once again:
Identify the Grunt at the top of the map as #1, the other SpongeGun Grunt as #2. Press the '2' key twice to center the display on Grunt #2 with his SpongeGun. SAVE. SpongeGun Gruntz (#1) selected, use 't' to target the Arrow just beyond the Gauntletz Grunt. (Quickly!) press '2' then 't' with the mouse pointing at the Arrow beyond the Arrow #1 shot at, and fire (press spacebar, or left mouse button). The mouse will be two squares away from the Gauntletz Grunt, so left click on him and right-click on the Arrow #1 fired at.
t, 2 t, select Gauntletz and move to the Arrow.

I did try that approach, having the gauntletz grunt be the last one of the 3 gruntz to control, but didn't have any luck with it either. I may try it again, but I still think I may just be too slow to handle all 3 gruntz in such a short time. I just can't click that fast -- my fingers won't cooperate!!!

Hallelujah! I went back and worked on getting that warp letter, and finally succeeded! It took a long time, and lots of tries, to get my clumsy fingers to move fast enough, but I finally did it.
I used the method GooRoo suggested of having the gauntletz grunt be the #3 grunt, and the sponge gunz gruntz as #1 and #2.
I really didn't think I'd ever be able to get that warp letter, but thanks to all the tips, and the assurances that I could do it, I decided to keep trying. Thanks so much for all the tips and encouragement!
Now I just need to finish the level -- but I've done that before, so I should be able to do it again.

I'm glad you managed to get the "R". I believe you will find the effort worthwhile, as there are similar problems in some CUstom Levelz. Now that you know the basic plan of attack, I am sure you will succeed when you find the similar sub-puzzles in future CLz you play!

The warp letter was no problem but no matter how hard I try, I can't hit the secret switch and make it through the wall before it closes. I'm doing all of this with the spring gruntz.. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks Hippo

That is one of the toughest secret switches in any level made, including the customs. It was a real # # . The one time I made it through, was by sheer persistence. Try, try and try again. The more you do it, the more you know exactly where you need to be and when. When you finally get through the wall, be sure to save so you don't have to do that again.

This really is a difficult secret switch. Mind you, when I did it it was before the patch came out and you could use the shovel gruntz which meant you could fill in some of the holes The only thing I can suggest is save and save again

If you killed enough enemies at the beginning of the level and sucked up their goo, you should have enough for 1 extra grunt, for which there is no other use but which you can place near the wall just for this purpose. Then you have one grunt trigger the switch, starting at a distance from the switch to give you enough time to switch to your extra grunt and go through the wall before it closes.
