trying to get the warp letter! Should both sponge grunts shoot at the same time, then move the gauntlez gruntz, or shoot the top one first, move the gruntz, then the lower sponge gruntz shoots?

trying to get the warp letter! Should both sponge grunts shoot at the same time, then move the gauntlez gruntz, or shoot the top one first, move the gruntz, then the lower sponge gruntz shoots? You need a springz grunt (so you can jump a hole!) to get to the warp letter. Start your springz grunt out at a distance so that you will have time to click and aim with your first sponge gun. Shoot on an angle with the upper sponge gun first so your springz grunt will get knocked diagonally, then switch (quickly!) to the lower sponge gun and shoot again.

Which version are you playing? If you haven't applied the patch then use the shovel gruntz to fill in the holes position the gauntletz gruntz on the spot you have filled in and then use one sponge gruntz to shoot at the arrow between where he is standing and the letter and have the gauntletz gruntz step on the arrow. That way you need only fire with one sponge gruntz. If you are doing it the way Fried suggests start your spring gruntz a distance away to give you time to pick the other two gruntz to give them time to fire. It is doable with the gauntltz gruntz as well as shown in the walkthrough

I'm not sure which version I'm using. I downloaded it from Real Arcade. Does that help??

Okay--my shovel gruntz is stuck way back someplace else. The walkthrough said I wouldn't need him anymore. The gauntletz gruntz is stuck in the arrows to get the warp letter. I need him in the rest of the game.

Use one SpongeGunz Grunt to shoot at an Arrow southwest of where the Gauntletz Gruntz is standing and the second SpongeGunz Grunt to shoot at the Arrow southwest of that Arrow, then select the Gauntletz Grunt and have him step onto the Arrow the first SpongeGungz Gruntz shot at. You will probably need to use the Ctrl-1, Ctrl-2, Ctrl-3 Gruntz selection method so you can use the number keys (1, 2, 3) to select your Gruntz, and the "T" key to select the target for the Sponges. IMNSHO this is the most difficult timing sub-puzzle in all of the Standard Levelz. Good Luck! (You'll need it!)

I have played this level over and over again I think I could get through it in my sleep! I am at the point in one of my saved games, where two of the gruntz are at the spot where they have passed the rocks and need to pass over the area so they can step on, what I believe, are the last two purple switches, but the purple blocks are up! I guess I forget to step on a purple switch somewhere. Also, the walkthrough says to move the spring gruntz through the island with the secret ? switch, but I don't even have a spring gruntz anymore!!! So......I have about 2 or 3 other saved games I'm working on!!! Am I correct in the above?

Yippee! Soon you will be into the first of the approximately 130 Custom Levelz!!
Hint: Use all ten SAVE areas in this Level ... you'll be glad you did!

???how can i get through the rolling rocks near the pool, while my other gruntz lowers the pyramid? i have only one mouse....timing again? ohhhhhhh, i am so slow... This one is more about being able to multi-task (that is, have more than one grunt doing something at the same time) than it is about timing. Have a grunt step on the left-hand orange switch, lowering the left hand pyramidz. Put your Wingz on one of those lowered pyramidz. Select the grunt that is standing on the left-hand switch and start him walking to the right-hand switch. While he is walking, you can switch to your Wingz grunt and have him move between the rockz. By the time that your Wingz is to the other side, the right-hand pyramidz should already be down. There is no "new thread" icon to find. All posts that relate to this particular topic are posted to this thread. This is true of all posts to any of the standard or custom level threads. Any gruntzerz who come along later and have a question or two about a level can read through the thread history and see if their question has already been answered.

i'm totaly frustrated... i read the first topic+aswers/ ideas several time... and tried for hours... no can do it... aiming-shooting-walking+timing... too much 4 me...i give up Are you talking about the warp letter puzzle with all the arrowz and holez? That is probably the single most difficult puzzle in the original game. Only the secret switch puzzle in Honey, I Shrunk the Gruntz, Stage 4 may be more difficult. Try this: Step 1: Assign one of your spongegunz a number from the keyboard by pressing Ctrl and a keyboard number at the same time. From now on, unless you change it, you can quickly select that particular grunt no matter where he is on the map by simply pressing that number key you chose. Pressing the number twice in quick succession puts the camera focus on him. Step 2: Assigning numbers (in your mind) to the rows of arrow from bottom to top, the bottom row being Row 1, position three gruntz thusly: place one spongegun on the tile that is two or three tilez diagonally up and to the right of the arrow of Row 2 that is next to the hole . Position your second spongegun, the one you assigned a number to, next to the arrowz of Row 1. Place your Springz grunt next to the tanks in line with Row 2. After positioning your gruntz, momentarily select your second spongegun by pressing his number twice. This places the camera focus on him and will keep you from having your screen view disturbed when you actually select him. Reselect the springz grunt. Step 3: Start Springz on his way by clicking on the arrow next to the hole of Row 2. Step 4: While Springz is travelling, select your first spongegun, press Ctrl-T to bring up his aiming line, and aim at the arrow next to the hole in Row 2. Step 5: When Springz is approximately 3 to 3-1/2 tilez away from the arrow your spongegun is aiming for, left-click to fire a sponge at the arrow. Step 6: Quickly, press your second spongegun'z number to select him, press Ctrl-T to bring up his aiming line, aim at the arrow in row 1 that is next to the warp letter, and left-click to fire a sponge. Don't dilly-dally. Steps 5 and 6 must be done in quick succession in order to have a chance to succeed. If all goes well, the first sponge will arrive at the arrow in Row 2 at the same time that Springz does, knocking him onto Row 1--specifically, the arrow next the warp letter--just in time to get knocked onto the tile with the warp letter. Collect the warp letter, and Springz can exit the puzzle via the bottom row of arrowz. Just be sure to move your spongegun so he doesn't get squashed by Springz.

thanks, but... springz is not here, just gauntletz and the spongez, and gauntletz is already stuck between the arrowz...can i try the same idea with gruntletz? SpongeGun Grunt #1: use the "T" method to select the target ... the nearest Arrow beyond where Gauntletz is standing. SpongeGun Grunt #2: use "2" to select, and "T" to target, and fire at the Arrow just beyond the Arrow #1 fires at. Gauntlet Grunt #3: move him onto the Arrow, hopefully just as the first Sponge arrives. Summary: T, 2 T, 3 right click ( move)
