I am beginning work on the walkthrough tonight. It has taken me this long to get caught up on all of the merely urgent things. I was helped by the fact that my opponent was gone to Mexico last Friday, and won't be returning until April 30 th. Being sick on Wednesday and Thursday also kept me doing indoor things, so I completed a few things. Now ... on to the Gruntz game!

I have modified the base post for this Custom Level to include the link to the draft copy of the walkthrough. I have not proof-read it yet, so there may be some typos or downright errors that need to be fixed. This is the place to tell me what is wrong with it, so I can fix it.

Use the Ctrl-# method to assign a number to each Grunt you have. Then all you have to do is hit the number key twice, and the screen will do its best to be centered on that Grunt. Example: - Select western Grunt and use the key combination "Ctrl 1"
- Select eastern Grunt and use the key combination "Ctrl 2"
Whichever Grunt you are actively working with (2, for example) does his thing, then you use your non-mouse hand to press the 1 key (number pad, or above "QWERTY") twice to shift the view so it is centered around the western Grunt.

This is a good tip to remember for other CL's... In this level, there is time to do everything that is needed...if you are careful and pay attention. I just didn't realize it at first. This was a fun level and was , in fact, quite easy once I understood what needed to happen.

You keep going at your own pace, Gaby. Most of the CL's are totally doable, even for my arthritic hands. Some of the puzzles are so tightly timed I think only the creator of the CL can do it, but there are loads of others to have fun with...and GooRoo is an excellent tipster and guide. I have been working on some of these levels for months....and I delete them for a while and go back to them...it's amazing what you remember or think of in the middle of the night! Another clue!

Item 6 on the "where to start" list in the walkthrough says to move the bare-handed grunt (northeast) to the green toggle switch. But he can't get past the swordz grunt to get to the green toggle switch. Am I missing something?

it's a good trial of warking with two gruntz at a time... send the bare-handed grunt (northeast) to the green toggle switch while swardz activatez the ?switch and enterz the wall... use the ctrl+# method to assist you... if I did it everybody can...

I do have a lot of trouble with timing, but that's not my problem right now. My bare-handed grunt (northeast) can't get past the swordz grunt, so he can't get to the green toggle switch. I'm wondering if I misunderstood the walkthrough, and maybe my swordz grunt shouldn't be in the bare-handed gruntz way?

It has been a long time since I looked at this CL myself, but I believe it is possibleto walk all the way around between most pairz of wallz. If the Gruntz are out of order, just see if you can't walk the 'wrong' Grunt all the way around so that he endz up behind the 'right' Grunt (in the right order).

I'm wondering if I misunderstood the walkthrough, and maybe my swordz grunt shouldn't be in the bare-handed gruntz way? The walkthrough is a little confusing here. What you need to do is walk the swordz grunt past the 2 green switches and THEN move the barehanded grunt past the same green switches. NOW you will be able to move your swordz grunt around to the ? switch. Does that help?

Yes, IdleAl, your suggestion does make sense. I can see how that might help. I'll try that, and see if I can get both my gruntz in the right place. Thanks for everyone's suggestions -- I'll let you know if I can get past this problem.

Thanks to all the help, I got that perfect on this level! I don't think I would have figured out that spot where my gruntz were in the wrong order without IdleAl's suggestion, though. Thanks, everyone!

I have provided an updated version of this CL, adding more Toolz, Coinz and Warp Letterz. Where the original version was completed with 2 Gruntz, the updated version requirez at least 5 Gruntz (with much 'shuffling' of Gruntz) and was designed for seven Gruntz. The Walkthrough workz very well (verbatim!) for the updated version, but does not include instructionz for completing the collection of the added Coinz and Warp Letterz. But that part of the puzzle is not very puzzling at all, so you really will not need an updated walkthrough.
