In order to be able to see more 'real estate' while working on "Knight'z Tour", I experimented with 1280X1024 screen resolution, and was surprised to find that my monitor supported it! Now I open up Internet Explorer in a window of approximately 1024X960, and can happily watch for activity on the Forum while doing other things! I simply hit the IE 'refresh' button every so often, to see if anything has happened that I should respond to, yet still work on the CL while the screen is refreshing. I just thought that those of you with monitors capable of handling larger resolutions might want to try this for yourself. (I thought that the Forum background would become 'tiled' ... and it did ... but adjusting the window took care of most of that problem. Now it only 'tiles' a little bit at the bottom of the Forum ... so that "Gruntz" appears at the bottom as well as at the top.)
P.S. I use the 1024X768 screen resolution patch for Grunt, and that is the was the Game map is drawn. So you can have the screen resolution you like for Gruntz, and still have a larger part of the picture for the Windows side. Even with my 62 year old eyes, I can still read everything on the 1280X1024 resolution display ... removing the other concern I had about making the change permanent.
P.P.S. I believe that the last of the major modifications to the Forum are now complete. I have someone working on removing the white around the figures in the Welcome Box (banner), and an improved arrow button to take users to the "bottom" of the Forum. (The arrow will actually say "BOTTOM" on it, instead of an upside-down "TOP".)
