Hi again GooRoo! I'm amazed that there are no comments about this level. I'm having a lot of trouble here. I had a great message written, lambasting your brilliantly weird mind when I got a really good idea, so I tried it and halleluja, it worked. But I want you to know, I hate that timer , and I think this level is really hard. I will keep at it though, and hopefully will get it without missing too much.

That happens with most of my Custom Levelz ... either they are so easy that no one has any problems (therefore, no questions), or so hard that most give up without completing them. If I recall correctly, I only have three CLz that use the timer. If I continue to have the kind of problems I am having with my current CL with Switchez and Pyramidz not behaving the way (I think) they should, I may eliminate a bunch of those things (and the problems I am having) and put in a timer instead. Then some CoveredPowerUpz will be converted into StopWatchez, and I will add timer bonuses to (at least) some of the CheckPointz. (I am growing very tired of making it to square 50 of 64, only to have Pyramidz refusing to go down when the proper Switchez are activated! 'Cheating' in order to test further meanz the first mistake is the end of testing. )

One thing I would say is if you absolutely can't get something to work, replace it with something else so it doesn't take all of your time. See about putting it in a later level!

Well, I got almost to the end, started the ball going around (I had kept it on the outside row until I thought I had hit all the right switches), and then realized I missed the control for the 2-way arrow in the southeast corner. Figured I would cheat (go back and find it) my through the rest but I couldn't find the control. Help (I did find the red warp on the outside row, and the one in the pool, are there any more I should know about?)

If I recall correctly (IIRC), I had some Switchez in rather out-of-the-way placez in this CL. The intent was to invite misdirection ... the solver moves away from a Switch, thinking its use was finished, when therewas yet another use for the same Switch.

I have been misdirected several times in this CL....a :-/nd it is getting very frustrating.... After I get to the right hand side, on the outside row, there is a blue warp which sends me to get blasted by a gunhat grunt in the next square....but I persist, losing a lot of time breaking bricks...Get to the bottom right corner, and jump in the blue warp, which takes me back to the outside row, in the left hand corner....break the bricks and get the shovel....move down, (the ball is coming along the outside row now) and fill in the holes. I don't want to undig those holes yet, there must be a sequence for letting that ball go on a special path to somewhere. By the time I walk down and to the bottom right of this third inner row, my time is almost up and I have to kill all those yellow spongegunz, dig up all the coins and the strawz and suck the goo and oops.....out of time.... How about a little help here?

I can tell that I have an ulterior motive for not writing walkthroughz for many of my Custom Levelz; when I go back to re-play one of my own Custom Levelz after a couple yearz, it is a new puzzle! That'z what I am finding as I am working on a walkthrough for this CL ... I have (conveniently) forgotten the solution I had designed, so have the challenge of solving it! I, too, sent my Shovel Grunt down to the southeast corner to fill in/dig up a Hole/Mound, then went through the Blue Wormhole nearby. After turning what seemed like a dozen "Hit and Run" SpongeGun Gruntz into Goo, defeating the Sword Grunt, etc., with a bit of time left on the timer ... the Bridge wasn't complete! I did not have enough Gruntz to get me past the Purple Pyramidz, and no Bridge to just walk out of the area across the Water path. I then remembered that I should have done a few other thingz before entering that Spikey/Holey/SpongeGun filled area. So I scrolled around the map, and discovered that I had completely overlooked a Green Wormhole! Voila! Deposited in an area with lotz of Blue Wormholez in it ... and one of them will deposit a Grunt right next to that Hole that needz to be filled in, then dug up again to reveal a Two-Way Arrow. (Savez a lot of time (not to mention wear and tear on a poor Grunt's feet. ) I am now going back for my third attempt at solving the CL in order to be able to write a proper walkthrough. C'ya!!!

I finally completed the Level to refresh my memory on what needz to be done ... and when! But I did not get a "Perfect!" score (as you can see in the example Statz page linked in the opening post in this thread). I missed one Coin. A Coin noone should miss ... especially the Level designer! When you go through the Green Wormhole for the first time, you land on a Stopwatch, adding one minute to your available time. The Tile you land on is a Mound. You have a Shovel, but there are eight Blue Wormholez, and the Tile you are standing on, so you cannot dig up the Mound ... then. Much later you return to the Mound with another Shovel, and can dig up the Mound and get the Coin buried within it. I didn't. I will be off-line for the rest of the day, working on the walkthrough, now that I have the solution fresh in my memory. I probably will not complete it until tomorrow afternoon or evening ... thingz like sleep and a match taking me away from Gruntz for hourz at a time.

Oh goodie!! I have been waiting for the WT for a while. There are only a few levels left that I haven't completed and this is one of them... Meanwhile, I am still stuck at Rock VIII....that should keep me busy for a day or two!!

I have the walkthrough written for the first five sub-puzzlez (through acquiring the Warp letter "A"). I just had to take a break for a while, because when I get tired, my dyslexia startz to show up ... in spadez! When that happenz, I am soon spending almost as much time going back to fix transpositions, as I am in writing new sectionz of the walkthrough! (I have had to fix three of them just in this post!) I will resume work on the walkthrough after dinner. At the rate I am progressing, I probably will not be finishing the walkthrough tonight, and posting it as an ALPHA version after all. With my schedule for tomorrow, that will likely mean that it will be Friday evening (April Fool ... not) at the earliest. And probably after my dinner time, as well.

The ALPHA walkthrough has been uploaded to my web host, and linked into the original post in this thread. I know that the true Gruntzerz who try out this walkthrough will respond to tell me of any errorz in it, so they may be corrected. When it is (for all practical purposez) error-free, I will remove the ALPHA adjective. Edit: I just finished reading the walkthrough I have uploaded, and marked a few typoz on my hard-copy. I don't believe that any of the typoz can possibly affect the solving reader, so if you have downloaded it and printed it out for yourself, you don't need to download it again. - Page 2: 2 instancez of 'your' that should be 'you'
- Page 3, second line: 'god' instead of 'good'
- Page 3: "Like right now!" should be "Like right now!)"
- Page 3: "Of Course" should be "Of course"
- Page 3: "Use your Tool or" should be "Use your Tool on"
- page 5: another "your" instead of "you" around line #10
- Page 7: "in one of the arez" should be "in one of the areaz"
- Page 8:missing period before "Stopwatch = 1 minute..."
- Page 10: "TimeBombz area" should be "TimeBombz are"
- Page 10:"Warpstone t be" should be "Warpstone to be"
- Pages 2 through 9, upper half of Page 10: improper indentation

OK, so I'm with Gauntletz, trying to figure out which blue wormhole to go through. You say to break the red brick and go through as a barehanded to the toobz. So I did! But, there are checkpoint pyramids UP and I can't continue. Did I do something wrong. Everything went as written and seemed to be going well. Help?

You have gone through the sub-puzzlez with Gauntletz, Shovel (2), Gravity Bootz and SpyGlass Toolz? If so, then all of the remaining Blue Wormholez should be free of obstaclez, and the Springz and a Stopwatch are in plain view. I see the problem now ... the Bricklayer through Springz Grunt sectionz are out of place. Page 8 belongz between the Gauntletz and Bare-handed Grunt sectionz of page 5. should we fix (no problem...) it or are you planning to reload a fixed walkthrough (easy for us)... ... I'm playing this level with knock kneez... ... moving heel aside toe... I'm afraid I'll miss some thing...

I am making changez in my Microsoft Word document as problemz are reported, and will re-upload to my web host every so often. I plan to re-upload after dinner tonight, with correctionz made based upon feedback in the next couple of hourz.
