I found out how to update the Calendar, and have added a few things in ... like the birthdays of all who have entered that information in their Profiles. Not to worry, no ages are posted there ... except mine. If you click on "Sovek's birthday", for example, you will see some further text. Reply to this thread with significant dates you would like to see on the Calendar, and a Global Moderator or I will add it in.

Put my birtday, please! But you didn't put it into your Profile! And you didn't give the date in your message, either. I know that it is November, and the last third of the month, but not the exact day. Any Global Moderator can update the calendar as soon as we get the date right. (I will do it, if I see it first. )

GooRoo: I noticed on the calendar for February 28th you asked if tomorrow is leap day. There are twenty-nine days in February this year. Is it called leap day? Dunno

Dunno (Tongue firmly in cheek) I was commenting on the fact that ProBoards didn't set the calendar for February of a leap year. I think that Patrick Clinger (the author of ProBoards) planned to have Version 4 out before 2003 was over.

there are no names of the birthday person in the calender ... it's written '1 birthday'... another problem caused by version4 update...

Gaby, if you click on "1 birthday", a little box comes up telling you whose birthday it is. I had never checked out the calendar before, but now that I have I see that GooRoo will be celebrating in a few days.

On Saturday, there should be an additional line in the Info Center at the bottom of the Forum ... brithday greetings for GMan! (Let's hope the new PBV4 software works as advertised!)

I found the way... because it says 'Popups were blocked on this page. Press the "Ctrl" key when clicking to allow popups'...so I have to use the ctrl button as well... I like the way it used to be... it is very inconvenient... is it possible to change it back???... the same thing happens when I use the 'spell check'...

The blocking of pop-ups is a function of your personal security package (Norton, McAfee, etc.) and not part of the PBV4 upgrade. There may be an option to "always allow/trust ... from this site" in your security software. The first time I visit a site I usually will get one or more of those pop-ups, and if I am confident of the web site I respond to allow ... for that site (only).
