It depends. There is a lot of obsolete voice-overs, like Warpstone Grunt attacking ( "Stoned!", "Rrrrocked!" etc. ) Perhaps there is a reference for a Warpstone megaphone request, although the file itself is missing - then it'd be possible to add it ... or maybe the reference is missing too? Well ... there's nothing you can do then. But it's worth a try anywayz. Cheers

I've extracted the filez from Gruntz.rez with this program (really great thing!) and there's one thing that I just can't find... where are the Gruntz' voicez? They are stored in the seperate REZ package GRUNTZ.VRZ

This "video camera mode" in Gruntz is activated by double tapping the Gruntz' tab in Statz page. Just move the screen yourself and you'll exit the feature. At least that's what I think imiz meant.

Then I did something wrong. How do I get all three (toob, gauntletz and shovel) through the red/green pyramidz. Someone needs to stand on a red hold switch. I had gauntletz do that from the other side of the silver pyramidz, but only after the enemies were dead. Otherwise I get killed trying to walk by them. I see. Try this then: leave the toob on the red hold switch and make shovel and gauntletz go on. One of them passes 'the river' and ... presses a green toggle switch Then the toob rejoins the rest of the Gruntz I thought that after the first puzzle ( where you were forced to press the switch the Rolling Ball was rolling over all that time ), the next Rolling Ball should ring the bell ( like "Oh! It's just like the previous puzzle! I wonder, do I have to press a switch here as well?" ).

Sorry, I don't mean river, just water and bridge. Anyway, I know that I only need to put the gauntletz and the boomerang on the CPS, but I have to get boomerang through the silver pyramidz. How do I do that without someone standing on the yellow hold switch so that the ball can run the silver switches?? Um, and where's your third Grunt? If he's standing on a Blue Hold Switch to the north, then you did something wrong again. Your ToobGrunt is supposed to press the switch for him while he goes to the other side and THEN the ToobGrunt picks up a Boomerang. Did you do that as well?

River? What river? Do you see the Checkpoint over there? ( #points a finger at the Checpoint plates next to the Silver Pyramidz# ) You just need the Gruntz with tools which activate it - you don't need to bring all of the Gruntz to the Fort.

LOL Set the stopwatch and we'll find out HAHA, good one You have to send your BrickLayingToolz Grunt there - then he's supposed to help the Bomb Grunt go out of the RollingBallz maze. And then you go on - you don't need any more Gruntz. When you rejoin the Gauntletz Grunt from the other side, make Gauntletz go where the ? switch is and collect all of the bonuses If you want of course, it's not required to finish the CL.

kijanek6 was in a big hurry so he asked me to write a response for him. Here it goes then: The PID format containz information about X and Y offsetz (for the cellz of animationz), and for tilez, the attributez (Clear, Death, User, etc.). Everything else is the actual image ... what your program providez as a PNG file. This is a tile image ... and there is other content in the PID that describez what the game engine should do when something arrivez at that tile. PID format only consists of the following: Offset ( the additional compression ), ID, two fields with the commentary and flags ( horizontal and vertical flip, transparency, compression type, is it using the pallets, etc.). The tiles' attributes are stored in a WWD file and what the game is supposed to do with that - in EXE itself. Yes, possibility of replacing thingz (or adding, if e.g. some tile number doesn't exist) is absolutely necessary if I want to make my Virtual Reality tileset actually working. Most likely it's impossible to add new tiles with the ID not used in game ( not in Claw anyway, and there's 75 percent chance it's not possible in Gruntz either ) - it seems the EXE stores the IDs list of the particular tile set somewhere. Namely, I need to replace some of the PID, WAV and XMI filez (are the XMI possible to create from MP3?). PIDz can be replaced and it's already been tested, although we need a good editor first. It's quite obvious you can replace WAV files. And XMIz? You can export to XMI format almost every sound possible ( though the quality will get way lower and you have to spend a lot of time tweaking it and changing the parameters manually to make it sound similar to the original ).

Doh! I'm sorry that I haven't been able to test it more than I did few dayz ago. I was too much absorbed creating imagez for Virtual Reality tileset. Yeah, I've noticed that The Toob Grunt takez a different exit from those Pyramidz ... after another Red Switch has been found. Huh?

As far as I know, XMI is ... Extended MIDI file format. The question is, can you convert any MP3 to a MIDI format? I doubt it ( but there might be some tricks involved, like making it sound almost exactly like the original wave by combining particular sets of sounds ... or somethin' like that ).

Blue pyramidz? That's new. Anyway, you should have an additional Toob in resourcez - give it to the third Grunt and join your fourth - that way you have two Gruntz now. Press those two Purple Switches and release the other two

Actually, we've met one of the game creatorz not long ago on this forum, so the chancez are not so small. Although GooRoo would need to talk with him, I think. I suppose you mean GPF Lith? "We" have met him something about 7 years ago, so it's quite a long time I guess. He's online here once, twice maybe a 6 months. CalcCowID is a function, which: *sets SpeedX value to X tile coordinate object lies on, *sets SpeedY value to Y tile coordinate object lies on, *evaluates new ID of an object with following formula: 256*X + Y. So an object with which lies on a tile (3,4) will have ID 772, for instance. It's used in switches for referencing part - all of the pyramids have CalcCowID'ed IDs of the switches which activate them - that way it's easy to recalculate the coordinates of the tile the switch lies on. And make sure to sign me up for the testing part
