I just would like to thank you for playing my level. How was it? It's a great and simple level with two things that I think are flaws. The sponge gun grunt at the beginning can't actually push the sword grunt out of the ground as the sword grunt's range is larger than the sponge gun's range, so the only way to get past it is to just take the hit and then run. Also the death power up is unnecessarily long. Other than that, I enjoyed the level. Thank you.
Actually, the opening has a quirk that showed up in several other Questz by several other Designers: the solver has to shoot at where the enemy WILL BE, not where he is to start. That Sword Grunt has a large detection value, so starts his attack before the Sponge Gun is in range; aim at a spot BEFORE the path the enemy takes ... and (with luck) you hit him and can retreat. If VERY lucky you can even get rid of him!

Well, the registration process has worked to prevent the SPAMmer from entering. There were dozens of email accounts associated with the IP Address, most with a different 'handle' from the username in the email. Seeking SUPPORT from Proboards, I found SEVERAL posts regarding this SPAM problem. One in particular described the same attack witnessed here, and gave their solution ... similar to ours.

Not so sad a day now! A feral female cat left her barely functional kitten in the middle of our back yard. So we brought it in and nourished it with warm cow's milk, then went online to find a kit and the proper milk to feed a kitten. Several days later, two more kittens showed up along with their mother. We let the first kitten out to be reunited with siblings and mother. Then raccoons (mother and three kits) showed up and threatened 'our' three kittens, so we brought them inside (the first was quite willing!) to protect them. All three are very friendly to humans, unlike the dozen or so that come and visit (for food) every day. One (spotted black and white) prefers to spend time with me; one (mainly black with white paws) prefers my wife; the third (tiger striped) is more of a loner, but shares its affection with both of us.
Everyone should have a pet!

2024
2023 was less than memorable (for me), and it should be easy for this year to be an improvement!

Merry Christmas! With Christmas Eve on Sunday, and Christmas DAY on Monday, our church (True Grace of Lacey) is having two services on Friday. I will be attending as a member of the congregation at 4:00PM Pacific Standard Time, and remaining to serve as usher/greeter for the 5:30PM service. So this is the best time (for me) to wish the world "Peace on Earth".

I have deleted every 'member' that even looks suspicious with widely divergent usernames/email_accounts. Staff evidently deleted numerous posts, as I found several 'accounts' with posts, but none (still) existed. Those 'members' were listed as "account disabled", so I presume staff did that as part of deleting offensive 'posts'. GOOD JOB!

It looks like this jerk has created another project for yours truly: going through the membership to locate all of his 'accounts' and delete them. Then staff only needs to click on any 'new' member's username to see if it is yet another piece of garbage created by this SPAMmer.

The SPAMmers simply do not take a hint! The latest ploy is to create an account and place their SPAM links into their profile. Staff may feel free to delete these people using whatever means: Ban Member, Ban IP address, etc. The pervert I checked this morning is in the New Orleans, Louisiana area.
Edit: On closer examination, the source is in Corpus Christi, Texas ... NOT New Orleans.

I think it's worth mentioning that last week our forum celebrated 20 years of existence! It's quite incredible if you ask me.
I wondered if anyone would notice that another milestone was reached! Well done swietymiki!
P.S.: It is only because of the true members that we have lasted this long. Over the 20 years there have been about 720 member accounts created, with perhaps 10% of them achieving a 'rank' higher than "New Gruntzer". It is that core of people truly interested in this 24+ year old game that keeps the discussions going. And those remaining active in the game through creation of new Questz/Battlez are the ones who deserve the applause.

Sorry, I do not understand -- what are "links supported by images"? Are you talking about spam/ads?
Definitely SPAM and ADs. The latest was in Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters. All of them were links to the same web site. Pure SPAM!

This appears to be nothing but an advertisement for a Chat Room (or something similar) and suffers from readability errors: lack of punctuation; incomplete sentences (and the opposite ... run-on sentences) and a lack of description for what this feedback is really about! Does it purport to pertain to some Battle Custom Level? If not, then it should be moved to a more appropriate board and/or thread.
Note: All garbage posts with links supported by images will be deleted ASAP!

Wow messages from 2007... you guys still alive?
Still breathing, but there is not very much Custom Level creation going on here. Lately, the emphasis is on the DisCord site regarding a recreation of the Gruntz engine.

Many of the home page buttons are missing (for me). Only 'Home', 'Help', 'Search' and 'Calendar' appear ... with important things such as "Login' and 'Inbox" missing.
Does anyone else have similar things to report?

This laptop is on its last legs, with a broken wing (hinge) to boot. So we splurged and purchased a current laptop as a replacement, which (naturally) came with Windows 11 installed.
My first problem was just finding the power button to turn it on! It is now squeezed in between the 'prt sc' and 'delete' keys on the top row. One thing I need to look up is to change the 'sleep' setting; it goes to sleep (due to inactivity) in about a minute. But when I select 'sleep' from the power menu, it just goes to a colorful screen waiting for me to alert it to use. I prefer the black screen and turned off keyboard lights on THIS laptop (the new one's keyboard is NOT lighted at all).
Now Microsoft was able to access THIS laptop via my network and capture a lot of my files from the D: backup. NICE! But I cannot access either other laptop from either laptop. Go figure. And I have not been able to locate the username/password that will allow me (the OWNER) to make any changes within the network. I could quickly complete the migration if I could use the new one to access this old one's files (such as all of Gruntz) and copy them onto the new one's storage (1Tb worth!). With 16Gb of 'ram', many of my problems should go away due to my habit of having about a dozen windows (or tabs) open at once, and flit between projects. Computer memory won't be an issue. Which reminds me of Bill Gats' comment that "With MS-DOS you'll only need 640Kb of memory for everyday use". (I can hear you laughing all the way from across 'The Pond'.)
