Whenever a thread has a new post, it moves toward the top of page 1 in the Board (moves older threads toward the bottom). I had occasion to search for a Quest that I knew had a certain puzzle element in it, but memory failed me (I forgot the name!). Worse, I forgot the graphics set!
Remedy: Search for any Quest or Battle quicker via the Alphabetical Listing.
Since you are in this Board, narrow it down further via the Gruntziclez alphabetical order graphics set.

Well, I discovered something new with this Quest: a Red Warp in water does not work, if what is below it is a Death Tile! So I will make a minor adjustment to the map, so that the Grunt will not drown. And declare that the puzzle is available for BETA testing now.

I actually didn't know such a feature existed which I'm glad I learned now as waiting for the whole DESTRUCT button to take it's action is really annoying. It definitely is CTRL+ Alt+ r (or R). It works for me.
I must have fumbled the key combination when I tried it before posting here, because when I went back into the game and used that combination ...voila ... the current version loaded!

From within the Gruntz game engine, using the alt+tab key will return to the most recent window (during Gruntz level creation, that is the Gruntz Level Editor).
My question is: what is the key combination that will reload the map and restart? Somewhere in this Forum is a thread with the answer to that question, but none of my search arguments has returned ANY thread that mentions how to do that!
Right now, I am reduced to quitting the game at the failure point, return to "Single Player" and "Custom Level" and reselecting the Quest I am working on. Even with a very much subset of the full Custom Level folder, that is a bit of a hassle. I recall it something like ctrl+alt+r, but have not managed to hit upon the right combination.

Creating a more extensive remake of the level sounds like a good idea. There is still quite a bit of unused space in the original, maybe you could add some more content there.
I may have updated the Announcement with a more recent "View the map!" than what you viewed.
Some of the major changes in the Gruntziclez version from the Rocky Roadz version is swapping a Red Warp for a Secret Switch at the very beginning, along with moving the Warp Letter to be acquired via the other Red Warp ... and removing all of the Coinz from that sub-puzzle. Right now there are multiple Red Toggle Switches, which I am using for timing purposes. Most of them will not exist in any future distribution.
I have learned my lesson; further test plays will have a SAVE slot, usable for Quick Saves ... since my failure came in the pool ... and my Grunt drowned.

Well, I just completed the revised version, replacing one SecretTeleporterTrigger with a Secret Switch and finished in about seven and a half minutes ... but left one Coin behind.
If I can do it, I'm sure that the (much) younger Gruntzerz can do it as well, and probably a lot faster, to boot!
Is there any interest in what amounts to version 3 of this Quest?

To answer your questions in detail, I'm afraid I'd have to replay all of those levels again, since I gave these ratings over 4 years ago. But, back in the day I used to post lengthy descriptions from my experiences playing Custom Levels, so perhaps some of your questions could be answered by those. For instance, here's a link to my post regarding Uphill Battle: gooroosgruntz.proboards.com/post/25937/thread
Wow! Until you sent me to that thread, I didn't realize how much discussion it caused! Eight pages worth, and your post related a lot of problems that I never really addressed in the Quest. Changing the timing is certainly something that should have been done. (And the"View the map" doesn't even show that Rolling Snowball, for me to see where it starts ... HOW it starts.

This is just a recap of my suggested difficulty changes to levels that I've been posting about over the last 2 months:Quadrupletz Timez Three by @marie-Claude Bernier (Medium -> Easy) I put this one together from 4 'Very Easy' submissions found elsewhere. "Easy" is probably appropriate.

What earns the '++' part about this one?
What is 'ho-hum' which makes the 'Easy+' part about this one? (How would it be improved?)
What earns the '+' part about this one?

My "Medium" difficulty 'rules' are just a starting point. Your points about 'Hard', 'Easy' and 'Very Easy' I would make as "all of the above (or below)" points in additional table entries. So "too many Coins may mark a level as Easy (annoying)", or (adding to 'Medium' something about Crumbling/Toggling Bridges that is of medium difficulty) "point to the destination and click' (very easy); few togglers (easy); drowning frequently occurs (hard), etc.
"Medium" is my starting (central) point: add your own table entries as you see the other difficulty ratings should have (or be missing).

The recent (much appreciated!) spate of video walk-throughs by grosserfluss have brought me back to activity in this Gruntz Forum.
You may see some of the results in the Custom Levelz (Questz) threads. Also I scanned the "other sites" and found some things of interest (to me).
And in this thread I read about opinions about re-rating of some Questz. Which got me thinking about perhaps setting up some rules (guidelines) for ratings. Feel free to comment on your revisions to my criteria.
Minimum requirements to be rated "Medium":
- One
- One acquiring only the (single) ... with some indication of where the trigger spot is, as
- Crumbling Bridgez to access something of importance ... point and click.
- Silver Pyramid puzzle ... all fall down (long enough)
- No more than one per sub-puzzle (area accessed by meeting a requirement) ... more is unnecessarily time-consuming.
- "Magic Shovel" location must be plainly different from any ordinary . (Otherwise the rating may be marked "Frustrating".)
Earn a "Hard"(er) rating with some of these:
- Crumbling Bridgez to access something of importance ... with some toggling bridge
- Adding Objects such as ObjectDroppers, UFOs, etc. for the solver to work around.
- Silver Pyramid puzzle ... lowered in sequence with direction changes
- Move through a Pyramid maze with externally controlled lowering and (re-) raising.
- You can't get there without (unintentional? ) help
- One Grunt runs around pressing Yellow (Toggle/Hold) Switches while another Grunt helplessly moves through a maze.
- Uncovering a in a limited space ... uncover the wrong one and you are toast!
- Send an enemy Grunt somewhere that you cannot (or don't want to) reach yourself.
Earn a "Very Hard" rating with many of these:
- Adding Objects such as ObjectDroppers, UFOs, etc. for the solver to work around ... in tight spaces with enemy Gruntz attacking, as well.
- Toggling bridge tiles with zig-zagging path and staggered up/down times
- Silver Pyramid puzzle ... lowered in sequence with direction changes , hesitations (with Pyramidz rising, catching up to you) ... and even reversing course at times.
- Move through a Pyramid maze with externally controlled lowering and (re-) raising and enemy Gruntz with ranged weapons harassing you..
- You can't get there without (unintentional? ) help
- One Grunt runs around pressing Yellow (Toggle/Hold) Switches while another Grunt helplessly moves through a maze ... perhaps while under attack.
- Uncovering a in a limited space ... uncover the wrong one and you are toast!
- Send an enemy Grunt somewhere that you cannot (or don't want to) reach yourself.
- Have very little time to accomplish all of these things (perhaps with a clock running down!) Examples: Guenther and Paul
Adding to the thread as I think of things.

I have completed the update for the Rocky Roadz and Gruntziclez Quests. But I need to take advantage of the weather and get some yard work done.
EDIT 1: (3 hours later) ... Trouble In The Tropicz now updated.
EDIT 2: (1 hour later) ... High on Sweetz now updated.

grosserfluss's efforts at providing walk-throughs for some easier Questz has brought to light that there are several Announcements that are severely out-of-date ... and that are not even on my hard drive, or on the Forum's web host. Starting with grosserfluss's updated threads, I am making copies of those Announcements and making mass corrections using NotePad++. That program allows me to make global changes to several items at the same time, such as replacing UBBC code (URL, IMG, etc.) with pseudo code (a href, img src, etc.). So I will be busy (mostly offline) for a while.

This very old Announcement requires updating to replace "http:" with "https" and other obsolete code...in case a new version of Proboards renders them as images.
